Hi, I'm Erica!
I'm the photographer behind Ouji Photography, based in Princeton, Texas, and serving McKinney, Allen, and the surrounding Dallas–Fort Worth area. I'm a wife, a mom, and someone who has always appreciated the beauty in life's everyday moments. I love being able to capture genuine smiles, meaningful connections, and the little details that often go unnoticed but become some of our favorite memories.
For me, photography is about so much more than taking a beautiful picture. It's about preserving a moment in time — something you can look back on years from now and remember exactly how it felt. Whether I'm photographing a growing family, a couple celebrating their love, a newborn's first days, or an exciting milestone, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel natural, timeless, and true to you.
A Little More About Me
Outside of photography, my favorite role is being a wife and mom to my little boy. Becoming a mother has given me an even greater appreciation for how quickly life changes and how meaningful photographs can be.
It's amazing how something as simple as a photograph can bring back an entire memory — the way your baby fit perfectly in your arms, the excitement of a new beginning, or the laughter shared with the people you love most.
I also have a background in early childhood education and have spent over a decade working with children and families. That experience has given me plenty of patience, creativity, and an understanding that some of the best moments happen when you simply let kids be kids!
I know that family photos don't always go exactly as planned, and that's perfectly okay. Sometimes the unexpected moments turn out to be the most memorable ones.

I offer a variety of sessions, including family, couples, newborn, wedding, sports, and individual portraits. Each session is approached with the same attention to detail and appreciation for the unique story being captured.

My Approach to Photography

I believe the best photographs are the ones that capture people as they truly are.
My photography style focuses on natural lighting, authentic interactions, and relaxed posing. While I'm always happy to provide guidance and direction, I never want your session to feel stiff, rushed, or overly staged.
You don't have to know how to pose, have perfectly coordinated outfits, or worry about getting every little detail just right. That's where I come in!
I want your experience to feel comfortable and enjoyable, whether that means letting your little ones run around and explore, encouraging you and your partner to laugh together, or taking a few extra minutes to help your newborn settle.
Some of my favorite photographs are the ones taken between the posed moments — the spontaneous laughter, the little hands reaching for yours, and the genuine expressions that tell a story all on their own.
